Ingredients

200g ground pork

100g shrimp, finely chopped

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon minced ginger

1 teaspoon minced garlic

24 wonton wrappers

6 cups chicken broth

1 cup bok choy, chopped

2 carrots, julienned

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Fill the Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the filling into the center. Dip your finger in water and wet the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, pressing out any air. Seal the edges by pinching them together. You can also fold the two outer corners towards each other to create a traditional wonton shape. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Prepare the Soup Base: In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat. Add the chopped bok choy and julienned carrots, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Cook the Wontons: Gently add the filled wontons to the simmering broth. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the wontons float to the top and the wrappers are tender.

Serve: Ladle the soup into bowls, ensuring each bowl gets a good amount of wontons and vegetables. Garnish with fresh cilantro on top.
