Ingredients

2 tablespoons Thai tea leaves

2 cups water

1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup evaporated milk

Ice cubes (optional for iced version)

Star anise (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Boil the Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep the Tea: Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add the Thai tea leaves to the water. Stir briefly to ensure even soaking. Cover and let steep for about 5-10 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Strain the Tea: After steeping, strain the tea leaves through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a heatproof pitcher to remove all solids.

Sweeten the Brew: While the tea is still warm, stir in the sugar until completely dissolved. Adjust sweetness according to your taste.

Create the Creamy Blend: Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then stir in the sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. Mix well until smooth and fully combined.

Serve Hot or Iced: For a hot beverage, pour into cups and serve warm. For iced Thai tea, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the cooled tea over the ice.

Garnish: Optional: Add a star anise for an aromatic touch and extra flair.
