Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

8 oz egg noodles (or any preferred noodle)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 bell pepper (green or red), sliced

1 cup snap peas (or snow peas)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Cook the Noodles:

    - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, drizzling with a bit of sesame oil to prevent sticking.

      Prepare the Beef Mixture:

        - In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

          Sauté Vegetables:

            - Push the ground beef to one side of the skillet. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger to the other side, sautéing until fragrant (about 2 minutes). Mix everything together.

              Add Bell Pepper and Peas:

                - Stir in the sliced bell pepper and snap peas for another 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are tender yet still crisp.

                  Sauce it Up:

                    - Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine well.

                      Thicken the Sauce:

                        - Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir constantly until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

                          Combine with Noodles:

                            - Finally, add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together to ensure the noodles are well coated with the savory sauce.

                              Serve:

                                - Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot, adding more soy sauce or sesame oil to taste if desired.
