Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

2 tablespoons sugar (for strawberries)

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

12 ounces pound cake, cut into cubes

½ cup vanilla yogurt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Toss well and set aside to macerate for about 15 minutes, allowing their juices to develop.

In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.

In a small bowl, mix the vanilla yogurt with a spoonful of whipped cream to lighten it.

To assemble the trifles, start by layering the bottom of each glass or trifle dish with a layer of pound cake cubes.

Spoon over a layer of the macerated strawberries, followed by a layer of the yogurt mixture.

Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the yogurt, smoothing it out.

Repeat the layers until the glasses are full, finishing with whipped cream on top.

Garnish with sliced strawberries and a mint leaf for a fresh touch.

                  Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4-6
