Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup whole milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1/2 cup pecans, chopped

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.

Knead and Roll: Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for about 2-3 minutes until smooth. Roll the dough into a rectangle approximately 10 x 14 inches in size.

Make the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.

Add Strawberries and Pecans: Sprinkle the chopped strawberries and pecans over the cream cheese layer.

Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the strawberries and pecans.

Roll It Up: Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the edges to seal.

Cut the Rolls: With a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between them.

Second Rise: Cover the dish with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise in a warm area for about 30 minutes, until slightly puffy.

Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally drizzling with additional cream cheese icing made from powdered sugar and milk.

                      Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour | Servings: 12

                        - Presentation Tips: Arrange the cinnamon rolls on a large serving platter. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with extra chopped strawberries and pecans for added color and texture.
