Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli works great)

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Create the Sauce: Return the pot to the heat and pour in the beef broth. Scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pot to enhance flavor. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine Elements: Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then add the cooked pasta and shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir until the cheese has melted and the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld together.

Serve: Divide the creamy beef pasta among serving plates. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional cheese, if desired. Enjoy your meal!
