For the steak, I use two ribeye steaks that are about one inch thick. Ribeye has great flavor and fat. You should also have salt and black pepper to taste. These basic seasonings bring out the meat's natural taste. Olive oil is important for cooking the steaks. It helps create a nice crust when you sear them in the pan.

Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1-2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Steaks: Start by taking the ribeye steaks out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Steaks: In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks to the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them to achieve a crust. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness (adjust time depending on thickness and desired doneness). Once cooked, transfer the steaks to a plate and cover loosely with foil to rest.

Make the Bourbon Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Stir in the brown sugar, allowing it to dissolve slightly.

Add Cream and Flavorings: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to combine with the garlic and brown sugar mixture. Then, mix in the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Season the Sauce: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as desired. If you want a strong kick, feel free to add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes.

Serve: Slice the rested steaks and serve on a plate. Drizzle the garlic cream sauce generously over the steaks and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

              Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2

                - Presentation Tips: For an elegant touch, serve the steaks over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes or alongside grilled vegetables. Use a sprig of parsley and a drizzle of extra sauce around the plate for color and visual appeal.
