Ingredients

1 large loaf of Italian or French bread

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped

1 cup cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Bread: Carefully slice the top one-third of the bread loaf off and gently hollow out the center part to create a shell, leaving enough bread around the edges for support. Reserve the removed bread for later use.

Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are well-combined and creamy.

Stuff the Bread: Spoon the spinach and artichoke mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf, packing it generously. Replace the top of the bread loaf.

Drizzle with Olive Oil: Lightly drizzle olive oil over the stuffed bread and sprinkle a bit of salt on top.

Bake: Place the stuffed bread on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and let the stuffed bread cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Slice and serve warm, preferably with the reserved bread as dippers!
