Spicy Shrimp Tostadas

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

8 corn tostada shells

1 cup red cabbage, shredded

1 avocado, sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1 lime, cut into wedges

1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for about 15 minutes.

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

      While the shrimp are cooking, prepare the tostadas by placing them on a serving platter.

        Top each tostada with a generous amount of shredded red cabbage.

          Once the shrimp are cooked, place a few shrimp on top of the cabbage on each tostada.

            Add slices of avocado on top of the shrimp followed by a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

              If desired, drizzle sour cream or Greek yogurt over the top for added creaminess.

                Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tostadas before enjoying.
