Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1 cup granulated sugar

6 cups water

4 black tea bags

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and the sliced peaches. Bring to a boil over medium heat until the peaches soften, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the granulated sugar to the saucepan and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and let the peach mixture steep for about 30 minutes.

In another pot, bring the remaining 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add in the black tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.

Strain the peach syrup to remove the peach slices and any pulp, collecting the liquid in a pitcher.

Add the steeped black tea to the pitcher with the peach syrup, then mix in the vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.

When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled peach tea over the ice.

Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for added aroma and a pop of color.

                  Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 1.5 hours | Servings: 6-8
