Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and let it melt. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water until reaching your desired consistency.

Combine Everything: Add the drained fettuccine and cooked shrimp back to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are well-coated with the Alfredo sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

Serve: Divide the shrimp Alfredo onto plates or into bowls. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty kick.
