Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage, casings removed

6 large eggs

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)

1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble the sausage and cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper until well combined.

Open the biscuit dough, and cut each biscuit into quarters. Gently fold the biscuit pieces and the cooked sausage into the egg mixture until evenly distributed.

Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the casserole is golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes, and garnish with chopped chives, if desired. Serve warm.
