Ingredients

1 box red velvet cake mix

1 cup buttermilk

3 large eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

8 oz cream cheese, softened

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

12 oz white chocolate chips

Optional: Red sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

Bake the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, buttermilk, eggs, and vegetable oil. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cake: Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl using your hands until it resembles fine crumbs.

Make the Frosting: In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth.

Combine Cake and Frosting: Add the frosting mixture to the crumbled cake. Stir until fully combined and a dough-like consistency forms.

Form the Balls: Using your hands, take small portions of the cake mixture and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring in between until completely smooth.

Coat the Cake Balls: Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Use a fork to lift them out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off, and place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle some red sprinkles on top of each cake ball for decoration.

Chill and Serve: Place the tray of coated cake balls back in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to set the chocolate. Once set, serve and enjoy!
