Ingredients

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1 cup honey or agave nectar

4 cups water (divided)

2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

1 teaspoon food-safe lavender essential oil (optional, for a stronger flavor)

Ice cubes

Lavender sprigs or lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

Make the Lavender Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the dried lavender buds. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Once simmering, remove from heat and let it steep for about 15-20 minutes.

Strain the Syrup: After steeping, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing the lavender buds to extract all the flavors. Discard the leftover buds.

Mix the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and honey (or agave). Stir until fully dissolved.

Combine Ingredients: Pour the lavender syrup into the pitcher with the lemon mixture. Add 3 cups of cold water and adjust the taste; if you prefer it sweeter, add more honey. If you're using lavender essential oil, now is the time to stir it in.

Add Strawberries: Fold in the sliced strawberries gently to infuse their flavor into the lemonade.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve over ice in tall glasses.

Garnish: Top each glass with a sprig of fresh lavender and a slice of lemon for a refreshing presentation.
