Ingredients

1 pound of spicy breakfast sausage

2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 ½ cups of Bisquick mix

¼ cup of milk

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of onion powder

½ teaspoon of black pepper

Optional: ¼ cup of chopped fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the spicy breakfast sausage, grated sharp cheddar cheese, and Bisquick mix. Mix well using your hands or a sturdy spoon until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the mixture. Continue to mix until everything is well combined. The dough should be slightly sticky.

Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this process, leaving some space between each ball as they will expand while baking.

Once the baking sheet is full, place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls turn golden brown and are cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. For an extra touch, sprinkle with chopped fresh chives before serving.

Serve warm as an appetizer or snack, and enjoy!
