Ingredients

2 sea bass fillets, skin on

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Olive oil, for drizzling

Instructions

Prepare the Sea Bass: Pat the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Allow the oil to heat until shimmering.

Add the Sea Bass: Place the fillets in the pan, skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them, until the skin is crispy and golden brown.

Flip the Fillets: Carefully flip the fillets with a spatula and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Make the Garlic Butter: In the last minute of cooking, add the butter to the pan along with the minced garlic. Baste the fish with the melted garlic butter for added flavor.

Finish with Lemon and Parsley: Remove the pan from heat, then drizzle the lemon juice over the fish and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Serve: Plate the sea bass with a generous spoonful of the garlic butter sauce from the pan. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
