Ingredients

8 oz. penne pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

4 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and season it with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear for about 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they soften. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Return the beef to the skillet and add the penne pasta. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid. Stir occasionally.

Once the pasta is cooked, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

            Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

              - Presentation Tips: Serve in shallow bowls topped with extra provolone cheese and a sprinkle of parsley for a colorful finish. For added flair, consider serving with toasted garlic bread on the side!
