Ingredients

12 oz. penne pasta

1 lb. thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or sirloin)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 cup (8 oz) mushrooms, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups beef broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1/2 cup cream cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Vegetables: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms, cooking until they soften (about 5-7 minutes). Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

Brown the Steak: Push the vegetables to the side and add the thinly sliced steak to the pot. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook the steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked through.

Add the Pasta and Liquids: Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and the penne pasta. Stir everything together to ensure the pasta is submerged in the liquid. Bring the mixture to a boil.

Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed.

Incorporate Cream Cheese: Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the cream cheese until melted and creamy, then add the provolone cheese. Mix well until the cheeses are fully combined and the pasta is creamy.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious one-pot meal!
