1 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Zest of 1 lemon

Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

1 large baguette or ciabatta loaf

Optional: grated parmesan cheese for garnishing

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oil Dip:

    - In a medium bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil and minced garlic.

      - Add the chopped rosemary and thyme to the oil mixture. Stir well to combine.

        - Add the crushed red pepper flakes, sea salt, balsamic vinegar, lemon zest, and freshly cracked black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

          - Let the dip sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld.

            Warm the Bread:

              - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

                - Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf into thick slices, about 1-inch thick.

                  - Arrange the bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet.

                    - Drizzle the slices lightly with olive oil (optional) and place in the preheated oven.

                      - Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the bread is lightly golden and warm.
