1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup boiling water

For the Coconut-Pecan Frosting:

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter

3 large egg yolks

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Ganache:

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cupcakes:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.

      - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

        - In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until well combined.

          - Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

            - Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth (it will be thin).

              - Pour the batter into the lined cupcake pan, filling each about 2/3 full.

                - Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.

                  Make the Coconut-Pecan Frosting:

                    - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, egg yolks, and vanilla.

                      - Whisk continuously until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 10-12 minutes.

                        - Remove from heat and stir in the shredded coconut and chopped pecans.

                            Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:
