Ingredients

1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup fresh or frozen dragon fruit (sliced)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar completely dissolves, creating a simple syrup.

Add the slices of dragon fruit to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the dragon fruit to infuse its flavor into the syrup.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Once cooled, add the lemon juice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor profile.

Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the syrup into a clean bottle or jar, discarding the dragon fruit solids.

Allow the syrup to cool completely before sealing the bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Prep Time: 5 mins | Total Time: 20 mins | Servings: Approx. 1 cup

                - Presentation Tips: Drizzle the syrup over pancakes, mix it into cocktails or teas, or use it to create vibrant desserts. For an extra touch, serve in glassware garnished with a slice of fresh dragon fruit and mint leaves.
