Ingredients

12 oz cheese tortellini

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Cook the Tortellini: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the Cherry Tomatoes: Stir in the cherry tomatoes and cook for another 3–4 minutes until they start to soften and release their juices.

Make the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the Italian seasoning. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for about 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Incorporate the Parmesan: Add the grated Parmesan cheese, continuously stirring until melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine with Tortellini: Gently fold the cooked tortellini into the cream sauce, ensuring they are coated well. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to heat through.

Serve: Garnish with fresh basil leaves and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan before serving.
