Ingredients

12 jumbo pasta shells

1 cup cooked and shredded chicken

1 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce (plus more for serving)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnishing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked shrimp, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the Shells: Using a spoon, carefully stuff each pasta shell with the chicken and shrimp mixture. Place the stuffed shells in a greased baking dish, opening facing up.

Add Sauce: Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve with additional marinara sauce on the side.
