Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (lean)

4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper (any color), julienned

1 medium carrot, julienned

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

4 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the sliced bell pepper and carrot to the skillet, stirring frequently for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

Add the cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring continuously until the cabbage wilts down.

Drizzle the soy sauce, sesame oil, and sprinkle red pepper flakes over the stir fry. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
