Ingredients

2 (14 oz) packages little smokies sausages

1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/2 cup honey

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until well blended and smooth.

Cook the Smokies: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the little smokies and pour the sauce over them. Stir to coat the sausages evenly with the sauce.

Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sausages should be heated through and the sauce will thicken slightly.

Adjust Flavor: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if necessary - add a pinch more cayenne for heat or more honey for sweetness as desired.

Serve: Transfer the smokies to a serving platter, drizzle any remaining sauce on top, and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy eating!
