Ingredients

4 black tea bags

4 cups boiling water

1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups cold water

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a pot or kettle. Once it has reached a rolling boil, remove it from heat.

Add the black tea bags to the boiling water and let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

While the tea is steeping, prepare a pitcher by mixing the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and pour the warm tea into the pitcher with the lemon and sugar mixture.

Add the teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir well to combine all the flavors.

Pour in the cold water to dilute the tea to your desired strength. Taste and adjust sweetness with more sugar if necessary.

Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until it is chilled (about 1 hour).

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.

                  Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 1 hr 15 min | Servings: 6-8
