4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on for maximum juiciness)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup olive oil

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until the brown sugar is fully dissolved.

      Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor).

        Arrange for Baking: Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it bone-side down in a baking dish. Reserve the leftover marinade for later.

          Bake: Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, baste the chicken with the reserved marinade and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is beautifully caramelized.
