Ingredients

2 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers

2 cups water

1 cup coconut milk (or milk of choice)

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

A sprinkle of edible flowers for garnish (optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Butterfly Pea Tea: In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the dried butterfly pea flowers. Let steep for 10 minutes.

Strain the Tea: After steeping, strain the tea into a jug, discarding the flowers. Allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.

Make the Sweetener: If you are using honey, you may want to dissolve it in a little warm water for easier mixing. If using maple syrup, it can be used as is.

Mix the Latte: In a glass, combine chilled butterfly pea tea and your choice of sweetener (honey or maple syrup) and mix well.

Add Milk: Pour the coconut milk over the tea mixture, gently mixing to create a beautiful gradient effect of colors.

Serve Over Ice: Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the butterfly pea latte over the ice.

Garnish: Optionally, garnish with edible flowers and fresh mint leaves for an added touch of elegance.
