Ingredients

2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder

2 tablespoons hot water (not boiling)

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, like almond or oat)

2 tablespoons brown sugar (or to taste)

1/2 cup ice cubes

Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

A pinch of sea salt (optional, for an extra twist)

Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder and hot water together until it forms a smooth paste. Ensure there are no lumps.

In a separate glass, combine the brown sugar with the milk. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.

Fill a glass or tall cup with ice cubes.

Pour the sweetened milk over the ice.

Gently pour the matcha mixture on top of the milk. If you like, create a swirl by stirring lightly (but not too much, so the layers remain somewhat distinct).

If desired, top with whipped cream and a light sprinkle of sea salt for added flavor.

Serve with a straw, and enjoy the refreshing blend of flavors!
