Ingredients

1 ½ pounds pork tenderloin

¼ cup honey

¼ cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Pork: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, vegetable oil, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Reserve ¼ cup of the marinade for later use. Place the pork tenderloin in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sear the Pork: Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, add a splash of oil. Once hot, add the pork tenderloin and sear on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Bake the Pork: Once the pork is seared, brush it with the reserved marinade. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Rest and Slice: Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. Slice the tenderloin into ¼-inch thick medallions.

Serve: Drizzle with any remaining sauce from the skillet. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve alongside your choice of rice or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
