Ingredients

1.5 lbs pork tenderloin

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Pork: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, black pepper, salt, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar. Reserve a small amount of the marinade for later use. Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over the pork. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (up to overnight for best results).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Sear the Pork: Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade (discard the used marinade). Add the pork tenderloin to the hot skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.

Bake the Pork: Once seared, pour the reserved marinade over the pork. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).

Rest and Slice: Remove the skillet from the oven, and let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serve: Slice the pork tenderloin into medallions. Drizzle with any remaining sauce from the skillet, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Enjoy: Serve with steamed vegetables or fluffy rice for a complete meal!
