1.5 lbs chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions (sliced for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prep the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper until well combined.

    Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag (or cover the dish) and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.

      Cook the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the marinated chicken along with the marinade to a baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), basting halfway through with extra marinade for extra flavor.

        Make the Sauce (optional): While the chicken cooks, pour any leftover marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

          Garnish and Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Drizzle with the thickened sauce, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
