4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (to thicken)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for cooking

Instructions
 

In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined.

    Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

      Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil.

        Once hot, add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear them for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.

          Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the skillet and set aside on a plate.

            In the same skillet, pour in the honey garlic sauce, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

              Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

                Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it well with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.

                  Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
