Ingredients

2 cups cooked macaroni (elbow pasta)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked peas and carrots (frozen or fresh)

2 chicken breasts, cooked and sliced

1 cup creamy mashed potatoes (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup chicken gravy (jarred or homemade)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: If using raw chicken breasts, season them with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until fully cooked. Slice and set aside.

Make the Mac and Cheese: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cooked macaroni and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and mixes well with the pasta. Season with a pinch of salt.

Cook the Veggies: If using fresh peas and carrots, steam them until tender. If using frozen, microwave until heated through.

Prepare Mashed Potatoes: If not using store-bought, make homemade mashed potatoes by boiling potatoes until tender, then mashing with butter, milk, salt, and pepper to your taste.

Assemble the Dinner: In a microwave-safe tray or compartmentalized dish, begin layering the meal: place a spoonful of macaroni and cheese in one section, a serving of mashed potatoes in another, and a portion of peas and carrots in a third. Lay the sliced chicken breast beside the veggies.

Add Gravy: Drizzle the chicken gravy over the sliced chicken and potatoes.

Garnish: Optionally sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for added color and flavor.

Serve: Either serve immediately or cover with a lid to keep warm and enjoy your homemade TV dinner!
