Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

½ cup whole milk, warmed

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp salt

1 cup strawberries, hulled and diced

8 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup powdered sugar

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tbsp milk for brushing

Instructions

In a small bowl, mix warm milk and yeast, and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.

Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and vanilla into the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

While the dough rises, prepare the cheesecake filling by mixing softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch until smooth and creamy.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.

Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle the diced strawberries evenly over the cheesecake mixture.

Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, creating a log shape.

Cut the log into 12 equal slices and place them in a greased baking dish.

Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Brush the tops of the rolls with milk to promote golden brown color.

Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before drizzling with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk (optional).

                                  Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 2 hrs | Servings: 12

                                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the sweet rolls warm on a large platter, and consider garnishing with fresh strawberries and a dusting of powdered sugar for an appealing touch.
