Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly

2 large eggs

⅓ cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)

1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until combined. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until combined.

Slowly incorporate the remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, until a sticky dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

After the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 16x24 inches).

Spread the softened butter over the dough. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the buttered dough.

Starting from one long end, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal, and then slice the roll into 12 equal pieces.

Arrange the slices in a greased baking dish, cover with a cloth, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar with 2-3 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency if needed.

Once the rolls are done, drizzle the icing over warm cinnamon rolls.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes | Servings: 12 rolls

                            - Presentation Tips: Serve warm on a rustic wooden board, drizzled with icing. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a few pecans or walnuts for an extra touch!
