Ingredients

1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped bell pepper (any color)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, crumble and brown the breakfast sausage until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are softened. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and place in the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Spread them out evenly.

Layer the cooked sausage mixture over the biscuit pieces, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Pour the egg mixture over the entire casserole, ensuring the biscuit pieces are well soaked.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed and the eggs are set.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
