2 slices of ham (thinly sliced)

2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice)

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)

Prepare the Ingredients: Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Gather all your ingredients for easy access.

    Cook the Ham: Melt half of the butter in the skillet. Add the slices of ham and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are crispy and heated through. Remove and set aside.

      Fry the Eggs: In the same skillet, add the remaining butter. Crack the eggs directly into the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side-up, over-easy, etc.), typically around 3-4 minutes.

        Toast the Bread: While the eggs are cooking, you can toast the bread in another skillet or using a toaster until golden brown.
