Ingredients

6 large croissants, day-old or slightly stale

1 cup diced ham (smoked or honey-baked)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4 large eggs

2 cups milk (whole or 2%)

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.

Tear the croissants into bite-size pieces and spread them evenly in the greased casserole dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the shredded croissants, making sure all pieces are soaked. Gently press the croissants down to ensure they soak up the mixture.

Sprinkle the diced ham evenly over the top of the casserole, followed by the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.

Lightly stir the mixture with a spatula to distribute the ham and cheese throughout the casserole without breaking the croissants apart too much.

Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and puffed, and the edges are bubbly.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5-10 minutes before serving.

Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Serve warm!
