Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup beef broth

1 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

12 ounces egg noodles or pasta of choice

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and the mixture is fragrant.

Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet. Add the ground beef to the empty side, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well to combine, cooking for 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.

Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring, allowing the mixture to thicken.

Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until everything is well combined and heated through.

Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles, garnishing with fresh parsley for a burst of color. Enjoy your creamy creation!
