Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, olive oil, Dijon mustard, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.

Marinate the Pork Chops: Place the pork chops in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chops, making sure they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and chopped parsley. This will be the crunchy coating for the chops.

Coat the Pork Chops: Remove the pork chops from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Dredge each chop in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to ensure an even coating.

Bake the Pork Chops: Place the coated chops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden brown.

Rest and Serve: Once the chops are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Serve the pork chops with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
