Ingredients

1 large pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup pepperoni slices

1 cup bell peppers, diced (mix of red and green)

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup black olives, sliced

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (for egg wash)

Olive oil for brushing

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the pepperoni, diced bell peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, olives, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until well combined.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

Spoon the filling mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.

Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough up tightly into a log, sealing the edges as you go. Pinch the ends to secure the filling inside.

Place the rolled Garbage Bread seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet.

Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the egg wash over the surface of the bread for a golden finish.

Use a sharp knife to make several diagonal slashes across the top of the bread to allow steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

Once removed from the oven, let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

                      Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping. For an extra touch, sprinkle fresh herbs like basil or parsley on top before serving. Enjoy your Garbage Bread!
