Ingredients

1 cup ground pork or chicken

1/2 cup finely chopped green onions

1/4 cup grated carrots

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon ginger paste

1 package of wonton wrappers

Oil for frying

Soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork or chicken, chopped green onions, grated carrots, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger paste. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture in the center.

Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water using your finger.

Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing edges to seal tightly.

For a fun twist, you can create a fancy fold by bringing the two pointed corners of the triangle together and pinching them to form a small cup shape.

Repeat this process until all the filling is used.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully drop several wontons into the oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally.

Remove the fried wontons using a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve hot with soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping.
