Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

4 slices of bread (your choice: white, whole wheat, or brioche)

1 egg, beaten

1 cup crushed graham crackers

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Vegetable oil for frying

Optional: Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on two slices of bread. Layer the sliced strawberries on top.

Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to create a sandwich. Gently press down to secure.

In a shallow dish, combine the crushed graham crackers, flour, and baking powder.

Dip each sandwich into the beaten egg, ensuring it's well coated. Then, coat the sandwich in the graham cracker mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.

In a large skillet, heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.

Carefully place 1-2 sandwiches in the hot oil (depending on your skillet size) and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the sandwiches from the oil and let them drain on paper towels.

Slice each sandwich in half and serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream and extra strawberry slices for garnish.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2-4 sandwiches

                      - Presentation Tips: Arrange the sandwich halves on a dessert plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and add a dollop of whipped cream on the side for an elegant touch.
