Ingredients

1 lb roast beef, thinly sliced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 package (1 lb) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, letting it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes to combine the flavors. Remove from heat and set aside.

On a large baking sheet, unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into a rectangular shape, sealing any perforations.

Evenly distribute half of the beef slices over the crescent dough. Then, spoon the onion mixture over the beef and sprinkle the remaining beef slices on top.

Top with shredded Swiss cheese, spreading it evenly across the filling.

Carefully fold the edges of the crescent dough over the filling, creating a letter-style fold to seal the squares or leave it open-faced for a more rustic look.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Allow to cool for a few minutes, then cut into squares. Serve warm.
