Ingredients

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust for spice preference)

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sriracha, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.

Heat the saucepan over medium heat until the mixture starts to simmer, stirring occasionally.

In a separate small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until fully dissolved. This will be used to thicken the sauce.

Once the sauce is simmering, slowly pour in the cornstarch mixture while continuously stirring. This prevents lumps from forming.

Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool slightly. It will thicken even more as it cools.

Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings if necessary—add more sriracha for spice or honey for sweetness, depending on your preference.

Serve warm or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later use.
