Ingredients

3 large egg whites

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 cup granulated sugar

1 pack (3 oz) flavored Jello (any color/flavor you prefer)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Whip the Egg Whites: In a clean, dry mixing bowl, add the egg whites and the pinch of salt. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until frothy.

Add Cream of Tartar: Once frothy, add the cream of tartar. Increase the speed to high and continue beating until soft peaks form.

Incorporate Sugar Gradually: Gradually add granulated sugar, about one tablespoon at a time, while beating continuously. Continue until the mixture is glossy and stiff peaks form.

Add Jello and Vanilla: Gently fold the flavored Jello and vanilla extract into the meringue. Mix until well combined and the color is evenly distributed.

Pipe the Cookies: Using a piping bag or a plastic zip-top bag with the corner snipped off, pipe small dollops (about 1 inch in size) onto the prepared baking sheets. Leave some space between each dollop as they may spread slightly.

Bake the Meringue: Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the meringue cookies are dry and can easily be lifted off the parchment.

Cool and Serve: Turn off the oven and let the cookies cool inside for about 30 minutes. This step prevents cracking. Once cool, remove from the oven and serve.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 45 minutes | Servings: About 24 cookies

                    - Presentation Tips: Place the cookies on a decorative plate or tiered stand. You can dust them lightly with powdered sugar or place them in colorful cupcake liners for an elegant touch.
