Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Make the creamy sauce: Lower the heat to medium, and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well, scraping any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the cream to heat up, then gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat them in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, ensuring the shrimp are heated through.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing. Enjoy over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce!
