To make easy cheesy chicken-filled dishes, you need key ingredients. The main star is cooked chicken. I often use shredded chicken for its texture. Next, cream cheese adds a rich and creamy base. Combine that with shredded cheddar and mozzarella. These cheeses melt well and give great flavor.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 package (8 ounces) crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.

Place about 2 tablespoons of the cheesy chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

Carefully roll the dough from the wide end to the point, enclosing the mixture as you go, creating a filled crescent shape.

Place the filled crescents on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush each roll with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and puffed up.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
