Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream, half of the Gruyère cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, combine the cooked shrimp with the creamy cheese mixture. Stir gently to ensure the shrimp are well coated.

In a small bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, remaining Gruyère, and remaining Parmesan cheese along with the melted butter. This will create a crispy topping.

Evenly spread the breadcrumb mixture over the shrimp and cream mixture in the baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.

Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley for added color and flavor.
